Melanie Nathanson is a founding partner at Nathanson+Hauck, specializing in health care policy development and implementation, political strategy, and government relations. Melanie has nearly two decades of experience advancing health policy priorities in the public and private sectors. Previously, Melanie was a managing director at The Glover Park Group, where she provided strategic planning and public policy counsel to clients on a range of health-related issues.
In that role, she also secured inclusion of key provisions in legislation, administered and bolstered coalitions, and advanced strategic alliances with legislators, their staffs, and influential outside organizations. Melanie has also served as the administrative director for strategic planning and public policy at Miami Children’s Hospital in Florida, and as a leading policy expert at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, first as a senior health policy analyst and later as director of the group’s Federal Budget Initiative. On Capitol Hill, Melanie served as senior advisor to Senator Bob Graham, and as senior legislative assistant to Representative Sandy Levin. Melanie has a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and a master’s in public administration from the University of Miami.
